Mia's Doll

Through the years, I have always used knitting as way of unwinding and dealing with my emotions. The creative process gives me a chance to set aside my worries and allows me to process and at times, heal.

This month has proven to be quite the roller coaster of ups and downs with lots of moments of joy and pride but also sadness at times.

As a primary school teacher, I must admit that I get very attached to the children in my class. I know that at the end of each year, I have to let my precious little people go, as they move on to their next class. Luckily, I still get to watch them grow and flourish for a few years, until they’re ready for secondary school… but this year, one of my precious girls departed to a faraway destination. I wanted to make her something to remember all of us by, so I designed her this little doll as a keepsake and a comfort on her next adventure.

To celebrate the release of this pattern, I've organised a KAL (knit along) on my Ravelry forum and for the rest of July and August, this pattern is discounted by 50% (no coupon needed, simply add the pattern to your cart and go). The pattern will also be discounted on Loveknitting and Etsy (links to follow)

The rules are simple: knit along with us and post your finished project. At the end of August, we will cast a vote with the ‘love’ button on Ravelry and 5 lucky winners will receive a coupon code for a free pattern of their choice.
